Margerita is located in the center of Xaghra, Gozo, Malta just a few meters away from the church center and all the village amenities. The village is probably the earliest inhabited part of Gozo and there are various historical landmarks - Calypso Cave which is mentioned in the Greek myths, Ggantija temples, the earliest of a series of megalithic temples in Malta, Ta' Kola a traditional Gozitan windmill, 2 sites featuring stalactites and stalagmites. The nearest beaches are Ramla l-Hamra famous for its reddish sand and Marsalforn which is mostly a rocky beach and is popular for bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
